PewDiePie slammed after appearing to say ‘n*****’ in video seen by 2.7 million people
World's most popular YouTuber stuns the world by apparently using hugely controversial racial slur
THE world's most popular YouTuber is at the centre of a racism storm today appearing to use the word "n*****" in one of his videos.
PewDiePie, whose real name is Felix Kjellberg, said a word which sounded like this racist slur in a video watched by 2.7 million people.
This film starts with footage of the YouTuber burping, before segueing into a bizarre section in which he pretends to cry whilst reading out tweets calling him "old and ugly".
It then shows another YouTube film entitled "The 100 Most Handsome Faces of 2016", which ranked PewDiePie in 18th position.
He then said the first few syllables of what appears to be the n-word after exclaiming in mock delight.
The YouTuber then went on to say Zayn Malik looks "like s***".
PewDiePie's video sparked an onslaught of criticism on Twitter.
"I will be unsubscribing and unfollowing as that kind of racism can not be tolerated in this community," one wrote concerned Twitterer.
"Typical whites."
Critics then began using the hashtag "#PewdiepieIsOverParty" to discuss their rage and reveal their own anti-white racist feelings.
One woman wrote: "If you're not black then don't use the word. Very simple concept that the whites are too dumb to understand."
Bizarrely, the tech firm Yahoo also used the unacceptable n-word on the same day in a particularly unfortunate typo.
A Twitter account used by Yahoo Finance published the words: "Trump wants a much n***** navy."
