AN 81-year-old woman is in hospital after being knocked over by a shoplifter carrying a basket full of meat.
The victim needed arm and hip surgery and is in a stable condition.

She was knocked to the floor as the thief fled Marks & Spencer in Longwell Green, Bristol.
Police have released a CCTV image of the man.
PC Daniel Andrews said that “for a few beef steaks” the thief had put the woman in hospital.
He added that the victim was left extremely shaken by the collision on December 28.
