She graduated from the University of London before heading to the University of Glasgow to complete her PHD in genetics.

She landed a job heading up the genetics department at the University of Aberdeen where she led a team carrying out pioneering research.
It was only revealed after her death that she also had a second job as an escort, which she went by the name Miss Brenda Adams.

When asked why Brenda worked as an escort, her sister told The Sun: “I think she was quite hard up.
“It was good money and she loved going out to nice restaurants and to company dinners and things.
“And she met some interesting people. That was her response.”
When did Dr Brenda Page and Christopher Harrison get married?
Dr Page and Harrisson met while they were students at the University of Glasgow in 1970.

They married in 1972 but divorced five years later.
It was later revealed Brenda had taken a restraining order against her ex.
By then she had moved out of the marital home in the city’s plush West End and into a flat of her own.
In the days leading up to her death she was said to be “terrified” and living in fear for her life.

What happened to Dr Brenda Page?
Dr Brenda Page headed out for dinner with two rich businessmen at a hotel in Aberdeen, Scotland.
She was spotted leaving around 2.30 am.
But just hours after returning to her one-bedroomed flat, Brenda’s body was discovered sprawled across her bed by colleagues after she failed to turn up for work.
Brenda had been hit around 30 times on her head, face and body with a blutr chisel-like object.
She died from blood inhalation on July 14, 1978.
The murder weapon has never been found.
A damaged window suggested the property had been broken into, but nothing was stolen.
Police carried out a major investigation, interviewing about 3,000 people during the inquiry.
However, they failed to find the one responsible and the case was closed two years after her death due to the lack of leads.
Why was the case reopened in 2015?
The cold case was reopened back in 2015, and police made their first arrest in March 2020 when they stormed ex-partner Christopher's home.
He was then charged with murder.
Using new scientific techniques, prosecutors were able to prove that he had beaten his former wife to death after he spent years maintaining his innocence.
A minute flake of paint found on Dr Page's bedroom window - which had been forced open - was matched to the paint on Harrisson's Mini Traveller car.
DNA samples taken from her flat were examined using modern forensic techniques.

Sister Rita, a retired teacher, said: “I find him quite repulsive.
“He was so arrogant.
