A PUB-LOVING cat has become a local celebrity after trading his home for a nearby boozer.
Tabby Peanut has fled to The George just 200 yards from his house and owner Helen Wilson.

The ginger tom, three, pops down most mornings and waits patiently by the door for landlady Diane Maher to open up.
He has been given his own bed, drink and food bowl at the pub in Chatteris, Cambs, where he has become a big hit with punters.
Peanut also been spotted at a nearby hotel and a working men’s club in the town.
Diane, 63, said: “At first Peanut was very shy but now all he wants to do is cuddle up to the customers.

“He has his own following.
“He’s not on the beer, just pouches of cat food and Dreamies treats.”
Helen, 57, said: “All this started after he disappeared and we couldn’t find him for 17 days.
“Eventually we discovered him in a garage.

“I kept him in for three or four weeks but as soon as he got out he vanished again.
“I got a report he was at The George so I retrieved him and this time kept him in for a month.
“But next time he left he went straight back!
“The landlady loves him and the customers do too.
“They bought him a stocking for Christmas and there’s also a bed and blanket.
“He loves to have a cuddle with them all and he brushes up against their coats.”
She added: “It’s like he’s been adopted by lots of people and he comes and goes as he pleases.
“He’s in Chatteris, but he’s never at home!
“The locals are like foster parents and he’s on a pub crawl.”
