A CONGRESSMAN who attended a "James Bond-style" UFO briefing believes the US government is covering up evidence.

Rep. Tim Burchett attended the meeting after shocking testimony was given by whistleblower and former US intelligence officer David Grusch.

Grusch said he's "absolutely certain" that the government has UAPs - unidentified aerial phenomenon - in their possession.

He publicly claimed that at least ten aliens were recovered from a craft that crashed on Earth.

Grusch even alleged people had been “harmed” and “threatened” in an effort to cover up the evidence.

Speaking to The Sun, Tim said he agrees "there might have been some loss of life" in the efforts to conceal secret information.

He added that Grusch is at the "epicentre of the inner circle" - and his claims are just the tip of the iceberg.

"These craft have been obtained by our government and the biological entities or the life forms that were flying them have also been contained," he said.

During the meeting, members of congress were able to grill Thomas Monheim - the intelligence community's inspector general.

Although Tim was encouraged by some aspects of the meeting, he felt his questions were dodged in a ploy to avoid "slipping up".

"I'm not satisfied. I'm wanting the answers," he said.

"But what I was satisfied with was that there were new members in there, and that folks were asking very good questions.";

"There's only two people I know that can evade a question that well, that's my daughter and this guy in there."

Tim said he believes his questions were unanswered as people "do not talk about what they don't know, and they're very limited in what they know".

He explained that sometimes even if the information is known, those answering will deliberately stall and will sometimes try not to find out at all.

"They don't want to slip up and get in trouble, and if they don't know then they can honestly say ‘I don't know’ and that's how they survive in these positions," Tim said.

Tim has demanded answers - and believes the evidence is "real".

He said: "I'm a sceptic of everything, especially a government, but when I have the best pilots in the world, not some crop dust in a field, military pilots telling me they're chasing an object that they can't keep up with which bears no resemblance to anything in this world, that calls it into question."

He insisted: "This is real. I have members of Congress tell me they've seen things and military people tell me they have seen things."

Sixteen members of Congress attended the meeting, Tim said.

No electronic devices were allowed to be taken inside the building and Tim was not able to reveal specific details about what was discussed.

"We're not allowed to talk about it, but I will say that it verified pretty much what I'd have said in the past," he said.

"And in the past I've stated that Grusch was credible and that Grusch had information."

Grusch, a US Air Force Veteran, said the government rebuilt a downed alien spacecraft in a bid to win the global arms race.

The Pentagon whistle-blower claimed that UFO wreckage has been found not only in the US, but worldwide and has been kept a secret for "decades".

Grusch filed a legal complaint against the US Department of Defense as he alleged a cover-up.

He stated in no uncertain terms that the US has in its possession fully intact and pieces of "craft" which have "non-human origin".

Congress passed a defense bill earlier in December which obliges the government to release records about UFOs or UPAs.

It states that any records must be unclassified and released within 25 years, unless the president decides otherwise.

The Pentagon has investigated nearly 300 reports of UFOs between April 2022 and April 2023.

One of the sightings was recorded by amateur plane trackers who seem to think they have captured a UFO floating over President Biden's Air Force One on December 10.

What is going on with UFOs in the US?

UFOS have stepped from fringe conspiracy theories to a genuine national security debate in the US.

Pentagon officials took the unprecedented step to confirm a trio of remarkable videos which showed US encounters with UFOs.

The debate is still open as to what the phenomena caught on film were – but it made clear to everyone, something is in the skies.

Perhaps the most striking was a video known as the “Tic Tac” – which showed an unidentified object being pursued by fighter planes.

The US also confirmed the existence of the Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program (AATIP) – a Pentagon $12million programme set up to study UFOs before being disbanded in 2012.

Eventually, it was replaced by the UAP Task Force in June 2020 after a vote by the US Senate Intelligence Committee.

Defence chiefs have since confirmed a number of leaked UFO videos and photos which were submitted to the Task Force for investigation.

Why this sudden rush for transparency?

No one outside the secretive wings of the US government currently knows for sure.

And as a tacked on addendum to a 5,500 page Covid relief bill passed in December, the the Director of National Intelligence’s office was ordered to compile a report on UFOs within 180 days.

The UAP report dropped as expected on June 25, and while not giving much away - it did not rule anything out either as much of it remains classified.

The US appear to have acknowledged that UFOs - whatever they are - are real and are a potential threat to national security as they appear to be able to enter restricted airspace with total impunity.

Barack Obama and Bill Clinton have both discussed the topic and seemed to acknowledge something is going on - a massive turnaround from previous total denial the government had anything to do with UFOs.

Is it aliens? Officially the US position is simply, "we don't know yet" as further disclosure is expected in the coming months and years.
