Cops find body in river in search for Britain Got Talent star’s cousin Kim Wilde, 65, eight days after she disappeared

POLICE searching for a missing 65-year-old woman have recovered a body.
Kim Wilde disappeared from her home in Norfolk, Thetford, on January 5.

Police said they found a body in the Little Ouse River, near Thetford Power Station, at around 10.30am on Saturday.
It was not immediately identified as Ms Wilde but police say her family have been informed.
Norfolk Constabulary said inquiries were ongoing but the death is not believed to be suspicious.
A spokesman said: "Police can confirm the body of a woman has been found in the water near Thetford.

"The discovery was made at around 10.30am on Saturday 13 January 2024 in the Little Ouse River just south of Thetford Power Station.
Emergency services attended the scene including police, fire, and ambulance.
"While the body has yet to be formally identified, the family of Kim Wilde who has been missing since 4.20pm on Friday 5 January 2024 has been informed.
"Inquiries are ongoing but the death is not believed to be suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner."
Kim's cousin, Britain's Got Talent star James Samuel, had earlier appealed to the public to help find his cousin.

James made it to the final of BGT in 2019 as part of magic group 4MG.
He wrote: "My cousin Kim Wilde, 65, is currently missing.
"She was last seen leaving her house in Thetford Kimms Belt carrying a white handbag at 4.20pm on Friday.
"Any information please contact the police, message me on Facebook or call any of the family."
He also shared the last CCTV of Kim - which shows her walking past Wong's Taste of China at 4.30pm on Friday, January 5.
Today he posted: "Thanks for all continued messages and help we have had from the local community! An update is available."
