Our grim duty
THE case for bombing the Houthis could barely be simpler or more easily justified.
These Yemeni terrorists are trying to sink vast cargo ships in the Red Sea, supposedly to damage Israel but mainly to hold the global economy to ransom.
They do it on behalf of Iran’s malevolent Islamist regime and, they claim, in support of Hamas in Gaza.
The Houthis are a similarly detestable racist rabble. Their motto — “Curse the Jews”.
Britain and America cannot let these thugs attack our commercial or military ships without retaliating to deter them.
Why on Earth do some MPs think Parliament should have “debated” our surprise counter-attack? There was no chance of it being voted down.

But, yes, you guessed it: To flaunt their unthinking, virtue-signalling pacifism or, worse, their fashionable anti-Westernism.
It is depressing that so many MPs seem to have no moral compass.
The Houthis attacked, unprovoked. They refuse to stop.
Now they have the staggering gall to complain that we have hit back. They vow bloody revenge.

All these anti-Western anti-Semites aim, to use a Labour buzzword, to “gaslight” millions into thinking that down is up, out is in and wrong is right.
No one should believe a word they utter.
