Hopkins then sent vicious texts to Victoria, reading “You tell him I’m going to f****** kill him” and “He will have a nice time in work tomorrow with a smashed in face”.

Cardiff Crown Court heard Hopkins was “unable to accept the break up” and became angry when he saw his ex move on after 13 years together.

Prosecutor Tony Trigg said: “She went to the cinema with Matthew Curtis. He dropped Victoria home after the date but Hopkins followed in another car.

“Hopkins ran towards Mr Curtis’ driver’s door, opened it and set about punching him repeatedly.
“Matthew Curtis raised his arms in self defence, and one punch hit his wrist with such force it caused a fracture.”
Judge Michael Fitton QC deferred sentence for reports.

Earlier this year a teenager shamed two women fighting over an open window on a bus in Glasgow.

A video of the argument went viral on Facebook, with over 48,000 views.

And just last week a group of girls traded blows in a mass brawl on the top deck of a bus in Birmingham, punching, kicking and swearing at each other.
