DINERS were left disappointed when Nando's was forced to turn them away - because it run out of chicken.
The huge Portuguese chicken chain was left with poultry offerings after pulling a number of dishes from its menu because of a lack of deliveries over the weekend and bank holiday.
Diners at the branch in Aylesbury, Bucks, were left in a flap after being turned away because of the delivery fowl.
They took to Twitter to vent their frustration at Nando's, which has now restocked the restaurant with chicken.
User @Cduffinhall said: "How are Nando's in Aylesbury closed because they have no chicken HAHAHAHAHA".
Alex Harrison added: "Drive all the way to Nando's Aylesbury to arrive to no Mango & Lime and no fillets for a burger...better find somewhere else!"
Jon Hammond branded the fillet famine a "fail" by tweeting: "Goodbye dinner with the boys and Aylesbury have RAN OUT OF CHICKEN #Nandos #Fail #2017 #FirstWorldProblems."

"It was a complete joke. They blamed the bank holiday weekend for lack of deliveries."
A tweet from the official Nando's account replied to the user saying: "There was an issue with delivery over the weekend, really sorry about that Tristan."
The Twitter account also confirmed that the temporary deprivation of chicken had come to an end and the restaurant had been restocked.
A Nando's spokesman said: "It seems Aylesbury residents chose chicken over turkey this Christmas!
"We're sorry to any customers affected on the day, and we are pleased to confirm that the restaurant was soon replenished."
It comes after Nando's released its first ever Christmas menu - including a Peri-Berry burger and orange chicken wings.
