Boy, 7, dies at home as cops arrest woman on suspicion of murder

The youngster was pronounced dead not long after cops arrived

A WOMAN has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a schoolboy was found dead at a home in Wales.

Cops are now probing the tragic death of the seven-year-old after they raced to Haverfordwest on Wednesday.

Heddlu Dyfed-Powys Police said on Thursday afternoon that a woman had been arrested and they were probing the death.

The force said: "We are continuing to investigate the circumstances that led to the death of a child in Haverfordwest.

"Officers were called to an address in Upper Market Street at just before 10.45am on Wednesday, January 10.

"Sadly, a seven-year-old boy was confirmed to have died shortly after. Our thoughts are with their loved ones at this tragic time.

"A woman has been arrested on suspicion of murder and remains in police custody."

It comes after the force revealed on Wednesday that they were looking into the tragic death.

Prior to that cops warned the road would be closed for some time.

They wrote: "Please avoid the area.

"Emergency services are dealing with an incident on Market Street, Haverfordwest.

"The road will be closed for some time due to an ongoing incident Please avoid the area and find alternative routes for your journey."
