The attendant asks him to calm down, but the frustrated man replies: "I'm perfectly calm. I'm not yelling, you want to hear me f*****g yelling?"

"Do you know how cool it would be to have the aeroplane turned around because of me? You are going to do that? You do that? I'm being so impolite aren't I? Fat **s".

Anjou Ahlborn Kay's full Facebook post:

"Originally on a nonstop flight from SYD (Sydney) to SFO (San Francisco) has landed us overnight in AUK (New Zealand). A bigoted passenger screamed racist, homophobic, misogynistic, disturbing words to passengers and crew, then called the flight attendants every offensive thing in the book. He continued to pick several separate fights with the crew and passengers and had us all disturbed. "Kudos to the flight attendants who remained calm but really sucks this one idiot has grounded us. Luckily made friends with my amazing seat mates as we dealt with the last 24 hours. Welcome to 2017. #UA870."
