First pic of woman left fighting for life after boyfriend died in ‘targeted’ fire attack on family home

Bex Williams, 24, is currently in a critical condition after her 23-year-old boyfriend died during the horror blaze

THIS is the first pic of tragic fire victim Cameron Logan’s girlfriend as she fights for life following  a “targeted” blaze attack on a family home in Scotland.

23-year-old Cameron was killed during the dawn blaze in his dad’s semi-detached property in the Glasgow suburb of Milngavie, after returning from a night out with his girlfriend Bex Williams, 24, celebrating the New Year.

Radio reporter Bex, who works for both Capital and Heart Radio, is currently in a critical condition at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow.

Cops launched a murder probe last night after investigators confirmed the fire at the house was “targeted”.

Parents David Logan and wife Catherine, both 54, needed medical attention for smoke inhalation after the property went up in flames at about 7.25am yesterday.

The family dog was also killed in the fire.

Detective Chief Inspector Bob Frew, Major Investigation Teams, Govan Police Office, said today:

“Cameron had been out with his girlfriend celebrating Hogmanay and both had returned to his home in the early hours of the morning.

"Later that morning, a fire was set deliberately at the house. Cameron died at the scene.

"His parents, both 54 years of age, have since been released from hospital, however, his 24 year old girlfriend remains in hospital where medical staff describe her condition as critical.

“The family pet dog also died at the scene.

“Officers are still at the house carrying out enquiries and are also in the area speaking to neighbours and checking CCTV.

“Although it was early on New Year’s morning, it’s possible that people were about, maybe walking their dogs or out jogging in or near the area.

"I would appeal to them or indeed anyone who was near Achray Place, who saw activity at the house prior to or after the fire to contact police."

One local said yesterday: “They are a nice family.

“It was only when we got up and saw the fire engines we even knew something had happened.”
