THE Met Office has issued a warning for wind and rain across large parts of Britain - but it will be calm for Christmas.
Three yellow warnings have been issued for today after Storm Pia unleashed travel misery earlier this week.
Strong and "very gusty" winds of up to 70mph will buffet north east England from 8am until 10pm today.
There is a chance of travel disruption, damage to buildings, flying debris and power cuts.
A wind warning will also be in place for most of Scotland between midday and midnight.
Journeys by road, rail, air and ferry will all be longer, and seaside communities might see some big waves.

In Wales, a yellow rain warning which came into force at 10pm yesterday will stay in place until 6pm today.
Homes, businesses, roads and power lines could all be flooded as a band of persistent and heavy rain pushes southwards across Wales.
Strong and gusty winds will accompany up to 80mm of rainfall in some parts.
But Brits will rejoice to learn that there are no weather warnings in place for Christmas Day tomorrow.

A yellow warning for snow and ice had been in place for northern Scotland, but it has now been removed.
Met Office expert Stephen Dixon said: "As we get into Christmas Day, the outlook is looking rather unsettled at first.
"It's looking likely that we'll have rain across much of England and Wales and indeed some showers in parts of western and southern Scotland.
"This will gradually clear up during the day, some people may get a clearer spell in the afternoon, so an unsettled day.
"In terms of a white Christmas, it looks likely, with wintry showers possible over high ground in the far north of Scotland, but not widespread."
