British cop’s family fear cover-up over his mysterious death in British Virgin Islands
A BRITISH cop’s family fear a cover-up over his mysterious death in the British Virgin Isles.
Paul France, 61, was part of a team targeting organised crime and corruption.
Just hours after drugs and guns were seized in raids, the ex-Greater Manchester Police detective was found dead in his car submerged in the sea.
Police chiefs in the British Overseas Territory passed the case to a coroner.
But the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force has told The Sun his death was an “unfortunate accident” and an inquest appears to have been scrapped.

Asked if relatives thought divorced dad-of-four Paul’s death was suspicious, niece Anne, of Bolton, said: “Everyone thinks the same thing. How do you end up in the ocean?
“We are angry we have been left in the dark.”
A source said Paul’s death in October rattled colleagues on the Caribbean isle of Tortola.
They said: “It has unnerved a lot of them. They’re not wanted there.”
