‘INCREASINGLY CONCERNED’

Gaynor Lord cops reveal why mum is a ‘high priority’ missing person as they confirm fresh focus of search

'She has never gone missing or anything like that before'

COPS desperately searching for mum Gaynor Lord have revealed she is a "high-priority" missing person.

It's been almost a week since the 55-year-old was last seen, with her loved ones and police frantically searching for her ever since.

Police yesterday released CCTV of one of the last times Gaynor Lord was seen - smiling at work
She was then caught on CCTV running through the streets of Norwich

Cops yesterday released CCTV footage of the mum smiling before she walked out the door of work - then rushing along the streets of Norwich.

Police put the video and photos out in the hopes someone may come forward with any information to help find Gaynor.

And today the force put out another plea.

Norfolk Constabulary Supt Wes Hornigold asked for the public's help as Gaynor is a "high-priority" as it's so unlike her to vanish like this.

The officer said: “Gaynor has been a high-priority missing person from the outset because of the nature of her disappearance and because this is so out of character.

"As time goes by our concerns increase - as do the family’s as well, so we are growing increasingly concerned for her welfare.

“We are working with people in the cathedral to try and understand what happened.”

Gaynor's step-brother echoed how "out-of-character" it was for the mum to disappear.

Allan Weston today made a desperate appeal for information.

He said: "We just hope she comes back safe.

“If anyone does know anything please come forward.

“It's been a few days now since she went missing so we are very worried. This is proper out-of-character.

It was revealed last night it is thought the mum may have met someone at the cathedral before she vanished.

Supt Hornigold added: “The cathedral is currently a focus for us, there’s lots of work we are doing there to establish what happened in the gap in CCTV.

“We are working with people in the cathedral to try and understand what happened.”

It comes after a witness this morning claimed she had seen a woman who looked like Gaynor doing yoga in the park on the afternoon she was last seen.

Rosie Richards, who lives near Wensum Park, said she thought she saw the mum doing a yoga pose on Friday afternoon at about 4pm.

She said the mum seemed "calm" - but something made her stand out.
