MUM RIDDLE

Gaynor Lord detectives ‘linking in’ with Nicola Bulley cops to ensure ‘no stone unturned’ in hunt for Norwich mum

Lancashire Police led the search for missing mum Nicola Bulley earlier this year

DETECTIVES searching for missing mum Gaynor Lord are "linking in" with Nicola Bulley cops to understand "lessons learned".

Gaynor, 55, was last seen early on Friday afternoon, and Norfolk Police have been desperately trying to find her ever since.

Cops have said they believe Gaynor “most likely” entered the River Wensum in Norwich.

Mystery surrounds the mum's disappearance after her belongings were found scattered in different locations around the city centre park.

CCTV showed Gaynor smiling as she left work - just hours before vanishing.

Her white work shirt, yellow tank top, and jewellery were found spread out - and her olive-coloured coat was found in the water.

And now, Norfolk Police have requested help from Lancashire officers who unpicked an almost identical mystery when mum Nicola vanished in January.

Top Norwich cop Supt Wes Hornigold told The Sun that Gaynor’s disappearance had chilling echoes of the hunt for Nicola, who also vanished next to a river.

He said his force was “linking in with” Lancashire detectives to “understand any of the lessons learned” from the search for tragic Nicola.

He said: “We will absolutely, and have been, linking in with Lancashire Constabulary to understand any of the lessons learned from that inquiry.

“We’ve already had meetings with the National Crime Agency in terms of understanding any specific skills and knowledge in respect to water searching.

“We’re cognisant of the recent College of Policing report into the Lancashire inquiry, so we’re leaving no stone unturned and making sure we’re doing everything within our power to find Gaynor as quickly as possible.”

Nicola tragically died after her body was found in a river following a three-week hunt for the missing mum.

Nicola, 45, was last seen in St Michael’s on Wyre, Lancashire, on January 27, after dropping her daughters off at school.

Last month a review of the search for Nicola found that Lancashire officers could have done more to protect evidence in the "golden hour" after she went missing.

It comes as police today released footage of the Gaynor's final movements before she disappeared - and she can be seen running along the streets of Norwich.

Police released an image of Gaynor smiling ear-to-ear as she left her workplace - Bullards Gin - at Jarrold’s department store.

Then, in a CCTV clip, the mum can be seen running along the path with her coat in hand.

She seems to be in a hurry, rushing to cross the road.

The mum seems to spend 30 minutes at the cathedral before she is spotted on CCTV again.

She was last snapped on CCTV at 4.01pm.
