CHOPPING MAD

Crackpot Philippines president Rodrigo Duterte brags about throwing a man from a helicopter – and says he would do it again

PSYCHO Philippines President Rodrigo Duterte is threatening to hurl officials out of a flying helicopter if “they misuse public funds”.

But it turns out this is no empty threat - as he admitted on live TV that he has done it before.

Duterte said: "Whoever will use this (public funds) for corruption, I will get him ride the helicopter with me going to Manila and will push him out while we we are up on the air.

"Yes I will do that! I did that before and I can do that again."

But this is not the first time Duterte has admitted killing people.

Earlier this month, he boasted about personally slaughtering suspected criminals.

Senator Leila de Lima, one of Duterte's top critics, said the comments were tantamount to admitting he participated in a mass murder and were grounds for impeachment.

Since he came into power in June thousands of people in the Philippines have lost their lives as vigilantes carry out the orders to eradicate his country’s epidemic drug problem.

More than 5,600 have been killed, many gunned down in executions administered by ruthless vigilantes.

His brutal methods have led US President Barack Obama to urge Duterte to “do it the right way”.

He denies involvement in the violence on the streets but warned his citizens that there would only be peace if people stopped taking drugs.
