Brother of killed JonBenet Ramsey files £600million lawsuit against TV station that broadcast cold case show accusing him of murder
Burke Ramsey claims a "fraud was perpetrated on the public" in CBS documentary
THE brother of killed beauty queen JonBenet Ramsey is reportedly suing TV station CBS for £600million.
The network's mini-series "The Case of: JonBenét Ramsey " suggested Burke Ramsey was responsible for his sister's death.
Burke is seeking $750m in compensatory and punitive damage, LawNewz reported.
JonBenet Ramsey, who was 6 when she died, was found beaten and strangled at her family's home in Boulder on December 26, 1996.
Part of the lawsuit is said to read: "CBS perpetrated a fraud upon the public—instead of being a documentary based on a new investigation by a so-called team of experts, The Case of: JonBenét Ramsey was a fictional crime show based primarily on a preconceived storyline scripted in a self-published and commercially unsuccessful book, Foreign Faction."

Burke's suit is said to name James Kolar, the author of the 2012 book, among the defendants.
His lawsuit reportedly points to a 2008 legal decision where the Ramsey family were cleared as suspects after DNA analysis.
District Attorney Stan Garnett has said that ruling was not binding and that his office is investigating the case.
The CBS documentary aired this year claimed that Burke, who was nine at the time, could have killed his sister.
Investigators said they were looking at new DNA testing technology that they hoped would further the investigation.
The move follows an investigation by the Daily Camera paper in Boulder, Colorado, that apparently uncovered flaws in the interpretation of previous DNA testing.
Burke has previously said he would be prepared to take a lie detector test to prove his innocence.
Earlier this month it was revealed the FBI made catastrophic mistakes when analysing the crime scene.
