It’s time for both parties to be honest about migrants farce and commit to a plan
Migrants farce
THERE is only one saving grace for the Tories over the mind-boggling immigration figures: Labour has no desire to cut them.
Half the party are open-borders fanatics who think controlling migration at all is racist.
But it is not remotely racist to point out that the net increases of the last two years, 745,000 and 672,000, are utterly unsustainable.
No economy could possibly upscale public services, housing, transport and so on fast enough to cope.
Thanks to Brexit, though, we DO have the tools, including a pay requirement, to dictate the size of the influx.
So it is time for politicians to stop feigning shock at the numbers and pretending they’re doing their best.

It’s time for both main parties to be honest. Where does each want the total set?
Commit to that — and to upgrading our infrastructure accordingly.
Put it to voters, get elected and stick to it.
Broken BBC
IT stinks that the BBC considers marching against anti-Semitism “controversial”.

Would it say that of any race but Jews?
The corporation has barred journalists from protesting against this vile racism in London tomorrow.
Why? Such a demo does not promote Israel, nor its actions. It is only contentious if you are an anti-Semite.
“Free Palestine” IS a political statement since, for many advocates, it means Israel’s eradication.
A simple march against racism is not.
We do not know if BBC news staff have publicly protested for Palestine (though given how skewed their Gaza coverage is, it seems superfluous).
But the corporation has lost its mind if it thinks it shows “bias” to stand up against a resurgence of the evil behind the Holocaust.
Car crash CPS
WHEN will heads roll over the hounding of armed response cop Paul Fisher?
He crashed while rushing at 80mph to stop a terrorist stabbing passers-by. But the PC’s sole motivation was to save life.
Yes, it would have been safer to trundle there at 30mph, as the Independent Office for Police Conduct and the CPS presumably prefer.
Not safer, though, for those at the terrorist’s mercy.
We’re delighted jurors had the sense to clear Paul of dangerous driving.
How did the CPS or IOPC ever conclude his prosecution was justified, fair or a worthwhile use of court time?
Dear ode dear
ASK Keir Starmer for a tune which sums up Labour and he names the EU’s anthem.
“Ode To Joy”, he says, conveys a sense of “moving forward to a better place”.
