Martin Lewis apologises over ‘terrible’ phrase used on ITV Money Show
MARTIN Lewis has said he is "sorry" for using a phrase about children during his show.
On Tuesday evening Martin Lewis aired an hour-long edition of ITV's The Martin Lewis Money Show where he answered consumers' Christmas queries and told the public the best way to look after their expenses over the winter.

The TV host later took to Twitter, now X to apologise to his viewers for what he says was "terrible phrasing".
Martin wrote on X: "Just realised in the heat of live show I said "adoptive children or your children" - terrible phrasing, sorry. Adopted children are of course your children."
However, it seems the money expert's fans are in a forgiving mood, as many viewers praised him for pointing out the mistake.
One viewer said: "I think we all know what you're doing is coming from a very positive place - good to acknowledge, but we move on."

Another wrote: "As a father to three adopted children, I wouldn't be offended at all.
"The phrasing isn't terrible, slightly clumsy at worst."
He added: "Thanks for the apology though and all the excellent advice and carry on with the good work!"
In the same tweet, Martin wrote: "Important tho to highlight many adopted children age 12 to 21's parent may not know they have a Child Trust Fund poss worth £1,000.

Martin Lewis has been giving the public money-saving advice on ITV since 2012.
In an earlier tweet, Martin spoke about how Tuesday's episode went and said: "Hope you enjoyed it, it's always nice to let a little loose for the Christmas special.
"it was fun but exhausting."
Which was met with praise and thanks from his fans and the viewers who watched the episode.
One fan wrote: "Yeah fab as ever Martin thank you."
Another added: "Absolutely brilliant! A living legend."
Another viewer commented: "Always a great show Martin and desperately needed at this time, with the cost of living showing little signs of improving for most people."
