ZARA and Mike Tindall have lost their baby after the Queen's granddaughter suffered a heartbreaking miscarriage.
A spokesperson for the couple shared the devastating news today - a month after they announced they were expecting their second child.
They said: "Very sadly, Zara and Mike Tindall have lost their baby. At this difficult time, we ask that everyone respects their privacy."
In November the couple, who already have daughter Mia, said they were "thrilled" to be expecting again.
It is thought Zara would have been about four-months pregnant now and was due in late Spring.
The spokeswoman would not give any details about the circumstances surrounding the couple's loss, but Zara is not believed to be in any medical danger.
Buckingham Palace declined to comment on the private matter.
Their baby would have been the Queen's sixth great-grandchild and a brother or sister for little Mia, who was born in January, 2014 and will be three next month.
Condolences are pouring in for the sporting couple, who have been together five years.
Gloucester Rugby club, who retired England ace Mike used to play for, wrote on Twitter: "The thoughts of everyone at Gloucester Rugby are with our former Club Captain Mike Tindall and wife Zara today. Truly awful news."
Equestrian champ Zara was believed to have been spending Christmas Day with Mike, Mia and other Royals at the Queen's country house in Norfolk.
Buckingham Palace would not comment on whether she would still be attending the festivities at Sandringham House.
