Fears grow for missing Dunoon teenager Alasdair McVicar as cops launch frantic search
The 19-year-old was last seen in Dunoon, Argyll and Bute, at around 2.40am on Wednesday after a night out with pals
FEARS are growing for a missing teenager who vanished on a night out in a seaside town.
Police launched a frantic search for Alasdair McVicar, 19, who was last seen in Dunoon, Argyll and Bute, at around 2.40am on Wednesday.
He remains missing as the worst storm of the year - Storm Barbara - hits the west coast.
He is understood to have been on a night out with pals when he decided to head home.
Cops said he was last spotted in the town’s Argyll Street but friends and family have not heard from him since.
Sergeant David Hardie said: “This is completely out of character for Alasdair not to return home and as such his family are becoming increasingly concerned for his wellbeing.
“Anyone who has seen Alasdair since 2.40am on Wednesday, or anyone who knows of his present whereabouts, is asked to contact police at Dunoon immediately via 101.”
Alasdair is described as 6ft 4in tall, of slim build, with hazel eyes and short dark hair.
When last seen, he was wearing black trousers, black leather bomber jacket, white Xmas jumper and white trainers.
