FUMING residents say their picturesque town will be destroyed by a tiny pub - claiming it will be like Wetherspoons at 1am.
The Lincolnshire village of Goxhill does not currently have a pub, with some locals slamming plans for a pint-sized new boozer.
Heated arguments broke out after the planned "micropub" was given the go-ahead at a meeting on Wednesday, reports.
Local Thomas White said that the pub would cause parking and noise problems - and that yobs leaving the village's last boozer had smashed his windows.
He said: "This is a residential area, the surrounding properties are family homes.
"If this goes ahead, it will have a profound impact on everybody surrounding it.

"We had windows smashed from the patrons of the last village pub returning home at night.
"How do we know it will be quiet? We don't want our valuable home life ruined by this, we don't want to hear drunken chatter."
Mr White claimed that the pub would only have five parking spaces, leading to gridlock on the village's narrow streets.
He said: "Surely this is not adequate for a venue of this size. On street parking is a great concern, causing obstruction too."

Councillor Max Bell said that he would share "99, if not 100 per cent" of locals' fears if he lived opposite - but did not want to waste taxpayers' money fighting an appeal.
He said: "This isn't going to be Scunthorpe Wetherspoons at one o'clock in the morning on a Friday night.
"We're seeing a number of pubs across North Lincolnshire closing."
Ginny Timm, one of the plan's supporters, said the pub would be shut on Monday and Tuesday - and offered to slash its opening hours on Wednesday and Thursday to "appease the near neighbours".
She said: "The proposal brings a community asset to the village, something that's fiercely contested when lost."
Ms Timm added that 900 villagers had battled in vain to save Goxhill's last pub, The Brocklesby Hunt.
Three locals stormed out after councillors unanimously approved the plans.
North Lincolnshire Council has been contacted for comment.
It comes after a study found that Lincolnshire is home to the most boring people in Britain.
