Brit David Duncan, of Leeds, set up the page in support after members of Lukasz's family came forward to pay tributes to him yesterday.

Writing on the fundraising page, David said: "Although I did not know Lukasz, the story of his untimely departure shocked and disgusted me, and I cannot comprehend how his family feel at this awful time.

A Gofundme page set up by Brit David Duncan to raise money for Lukasz's family has so far received over £30,000

"So, as a fellow trucker, I decided to reach out to the trucking community and beyond to help in some small way.

"No amount of money will bring Lukasz back, but hopefully it will help his family do what ever they need to do."

The fundraiser came after Lukasz's cousin Ariel Zurawski opened up about his cousin's final bravery, after his lorry was hijacked while he stopped for a kebab.
