Qatar is viewed as a key player in hostage negotiations.

Many protesters wept as hostages’ names were read out.

Yellow ribbons were also given out to symbolise those who were kidnapped.

Protesters also sang Jewish hymns and the national anthem.

Organiser Gary Weiss, 49, said in central London: “Each second is an eternity for the families of those abducted. Bring them home.”

Leora Zehavi, 58, prayed for her two cousins who were taken hostage.

She said: “Imagine it’s yours. It’s horrible.”

Orit Eyal-Fibeesh, 54, added: “When you see the scenes like at the protest on Saturday, I have to wonder how safe it will be for people and my family to live.”
