Fury as Tube driver leads anti-Israel chants over train tannoy – but clueless TfL bosses claim they don’t know who he is
OUTRAGE was spreading last night over a video circulating of a Tube driver leading passengers on chants of “Free Palestine”.
But dithering Transport for London officials — under pressure to sack the culprit — claimed it did not know who was responsible.
A Home Office source called the chanting on the Central Line travelling towards mass protests at Marble Arch “an insult”.
There was further anger at cops who looked on as an Islamist group at the demo yelled “jihad”.
Home Secretary Suella Braverman will today demand answers from Met Police boss Sir Mark Rowley after his force suggested terms like jihad can have “many meanings”.
Home Office minister Robert Jenrick said members of Hizb ut-Tahrir who carried out the outrage at the anti-Israel rally should face “the full strength of the law”.

The Met and London Underground have also begun investigations into the Central Line chanting.
In the clip, the driver is heard on the tannoy saying: “So as I feel a part of it . . . kindly join me as we proceed to Bond Street.”
He then shouts “Free, free” eight times as passengers reply “Palestine”.
A spokesman for Campaign Against Antisemitism said: “This grossly unprofessional conduct is shocking . . . and dangerous.

“Imagine being a Jewish person on that train. As it appears in the footage, this incident is a disgrace to TfL.”
Last night, a TfL spokesman said: “We will be scrutinising the footage to establish if it was a driver and who they were.”
The Met Police said it identified a man involved in Saturday’s “jihad” calls and “discouraged a repeat of similar chanting”.
