Customers flock to chippy serving fish suppers wrapped in hollowed-out loaf
A CHIPPY is earning a crust by serving fish suppers inside a hollowed-out loaf.
Customers are travelling miles for the dish and demand is so great some have been turned away.
Steak and kidney puddings or pies, or chilli and rice are other fillings in the £6 “loaded loaves”.
They also do “loaded lobby” — a local meat stew with beetroot from just £4.
Wigan Road Chippy in Leigh, Gtr Manchester, has urged fans to check ahead to “avoid disappointment”.
It said: “Polite notice to people that are travelling from afar.

"Please can you ring the number on our page to make sure we have enough, so we don’t disappoint.
"We’ve been doubling up every morning and still selling out.
"We feel awful turning people away.”
The fish and chip shop was awarded best chippy in the Northwest 2016.
