EV erupts into flames ‘while charging’ at leisure centre leaving car gutted
AN EV has erupted into flames "while charging" at a leisure centre.
The motor was left gutted after the fire was ignited - leaving firefighters battling it for nearly two hours.
Fire crews rushed to Newton-le-Willows Health and Fitness Centre, Warrington, around 1.59am on Tuesday.
They found the car had burst into flames when it is believed to have been charging at one of the charging points in the car park.
Shocking pictures from the scene show the electric car with just one wheel remaining.
Amongst the horrific wreckage, you can hardly make out where the seats once were.
