BBC News’ grotesque hypocrisy was laid bare with their headline for Brussels shootings
Shame of BBC
THE grotesque hypocrisy of BBC News is laid bare.
Their weasel excuses for not labelling Hamas “terrorists” fell apart the instant they headlined the Brussels shootings on Monday night as a terror attack (even if, in a panic, they later deleted it).
It WAS a terror attack. They were right. And in the past the BBC has often reflexively used “terror” or “terrorists” without attributing it to an authority figure.
They are coy only regarding Hamas and when Jews are the victims. Why?
Is it because many of the BBC’s left-liberal staff support the Palestinian cause, dislike Israel and just cannot condemn atrocities against innocent Jewish families without qualification?
They are certainly not being even-handed, as they cynically claim.

They are handing sick legitimacy to racist murderers who have now proven their genocidal intentions towards Jews.
The rot may be worse even than that.
Some BBC Arabic reporters appear to be pro-Hamas — just like all those hardline Islamists, thick lefties and immature young people here who romanticise rapists and baby-killers as noble freedom fighters.
Hamas is recognised in law as a terrorist group. It sent terrorists to terrorise and kill Jews.

It fulfils any reasonable definition of “terrorist”.
Refusing to say it is not high-minded journalistic “balance”, as desperate BBC hacks feebly pretend.
It is a political choice by conflicted news executives at the national broadcaster we are all still forced to fund.
No justice
THE staggering leniency towards woman-beating brute Paul Flynn is, we fear, just the first of a flood.
He already had 78 convictions, including for domestic violence. But his jail sentence for battering a new girlfriend was suspended by a judge who told him THIS was his last chance.
Last chance? He used up any last chances long ago.
But with our cesspit prisons scandalously packed and barely a place to be had, brace yourself for more serial thugs to waltz free with tough-sounding but meaningless ultimatums from our courts.
Stand by too for the inevitable scandals, and victims, when they reoffend.
A Tory giant
WE heartily agree with Rishi Sunak about Nigel Lawson, top Brexiteer and legendary Tory tax-cutter.
He was the reforming Chancellor who alongside Maggie Thatcher dragged our economy from the bleak, strike-ridden, high-tax 1970s into a new prosperity.

“His reforms have stood the test of time,” said Mr Sunak at his memorial service yesterday. Well, if only, PM.
With our tax burden at a 70-year high, how we could do with Nigel back in No11.
