STATUS Quo star Rick Parfitt was "saved" by a doner kebab after he collapsed from a massive heart attack on tour.
The 68-year-old rocker had returned to his hotel room in Antalya, Turkey, last June after becoming unwell.
The rest of the band ditched their usual fish sushi and instead munched on dodgy doner kebabs, which left PA Lyane Ngan rushing out of the room feeling sick.
As she raced back to her room, she found Parfitt's door ajar and discovered him lying on the floor after suffering a massive heart attack.
She raised the alarm and paramedics saved the guitarist's life after he 'died' for three minutes while they were treating him in the hotel room.
Bass player John 'Rhino' Edwards, 63, said: "He's a jammy b*****d!
"Reasons why Richard Parfitt is the luckiest b****r you've ever met? If there had been sushi at the hotel Lyane would have been with us eating in Francis' room and wouldn't have gone to check on him.
"That for sure saved his life.
"Also a team of paramedics with all the necessary equipment for heart failure based at the nearest hospital had left the hotel two minutes earlier after another emergency and just turned around."

Parfitt is currently recovering in Marbella, Spain, with "mild cognitive impairments" following what was his third heart-attack.
He split with wife Lyndsay in September after "dumping her like a second hand car".
The band are currently performing their 'Last Night of the Electrics' world tour with former tribute-band guitarist Ritchie Malone standing in for Parfitt.
He has said he is planning to record an album with fellow former members John Coghlan and Alan Lancaster in the new year rather than perform with Quo again.
The guitarist explained: "It will take more than death to kill me.
"I'm just aware of the nervousness I get before I go on stage. It does pump your heart slightly when you start to pace up and down the room, and you're about to go in front of thousands of people.
"I do not want to tax myself in any way. I've been told medically not to.
"So whether it's a full gig or a cameo I'd still get fairly nervous and I do not want to get out on stage and drop dead in front of the fans!"
