'IT SOUNDS EROTIC'

Mum’s horror as she buys must have Christmas doll for daughter, 2, only to find it makes ‘sexual’ noises

Amazon buyer wrote 'It sounds like a dodgy porn star. My daughter likes her but my hubby and I are rather freaked out!'

A MUM was horrified after buying her two-year-old daughter a must have doll for Christmas only to find it made "sexual" noises.

Gail Turley, 33, bought the Cry Baby doll after her toddler Kayla saw it on a TV advert, but the tot may not be unwrapping it on Christmas morning.

Gail is not sure if she can place the doll under the Christmas tree after hearing the "erotic" sounds.

The mum-of-six from Aberdare said: “My daughter is two and it’s the only thing she’s asked for.

“She saw it on the telly and has been shouting ‘Cry Baby! Cry Baby!’ ever since.

“So I bought one on eBay and got it delivered.

“I put it on my shelf ready to wrap but I thought I’d give it a try to see if it needed batteries.
“I was shocked! I thought ‘Oh my God, I can’t give this to Kayla now’.

“To be honest, I don’t know what I’m going to do with it. I might have to take it back. I’m not sure I can give it to her now!”

Cry Baby Lea, with red hair, is one of three babies in the range must-have toys for kids this year.

Lea, Coney, with pink hair, and La La, with purple hair, cry "real" tears and come with tissues to mop up the mess.

The toys also make "realistic baby noises" according to manufacturer, Baby Wow.

But, Gail isn't the only mum to find the sound inappropriate, saying friends feel the same way.

She added: “They all sound the same apparently. My friend just bought one and her husband had to take it back.”

Parents have also taken to online sites like Amazon to post about the issue.

One user commented: “It sounds like a dodgy porn star. My daughter likes her but my hubby and I are rather freaked out!”

Another said: “If a baby sounds like this doll does I’d be very worried!”

Gail claims the dolls advertised sound nothing like the one she received.

She said: “I listened to the advert on telly and it had a baby crying so I assumed this baby would be the same.

“But it sounds erotic - that’s the only way I can describe it.

“When you see something advertised you expect it to be like that, especially with kids!”
