Moment four-year-old girl fires hunting rifle which is too big for her to hold at gun range with her dad
Viral clip was filmed earlier this month at shooting range in Florida
SHOCKING footage shows a four-year-old girl firing a huge hunting rifle while her dad proudly watches.
Posted on Facebook by the child’s father Buck Holly, who owns a gun shop in Florida, the controversial video has went viral.
The little girl, named Noah, clearly knows her way around the powerful weapon, firing off rounds and adjusting the rifle’s scope.
When angelic-looking Noah picks off her target, her dad congratulates her with a high-five.
He then asks her “Oh, you’re gonna do another one?”
To which she responds: “Mmhmm.”
Noah used a 223 caliber PRS Tac Rifle in the clip which was filmed earlier this month at a gun range in La Belle, Florida.
The video sparked controversy when it was posted on Facebook earlier this month.
Some users pointed out that the heavy rifle was resting on a shelf with the four-year-old clearly unable to hold it.
One Facebook user said: “I’m all for teaching kids to be safe with guns and to know how to behave around them, but if they’re too young to eve hold the gun properly then they’re too young to shoot it in my opinion.
“Yes, he’s teaching her the right things, but if something goes wrong and the gun kicks or misfires and she’s not holding it right because she’s so small.”
Dad Buck has hit back at critics claiming he shouldn’t be judged by a short clip.
He said: “I would invite each and every one of (my critics) to come to the range with me and my family and participate in it.
“See how things really happen. They got to see a 30 second snippet of a little girl shooting. What they don’t see is the preparation that goes into it.
“They don’t see her asking and begging for more ammo. So I would tell my critics, feel free to criticise me. That’s our lifestyle. But before you criticise, come and try it and experience it for yourself.”
