Woman savaged by great white shark in bloody double attack in front of horrified beachgoers as she’s left screaming
A WOMAN was mauled by a great white shark twice in a gruesome attack in front of horrified beachgoers.
Terrified onlookers rushed to the water to drag her to safety as the victim screamed for help.
One witness even used a tourniquet to stop the bleeding as they waited for emergency services to arrive.
Pam Cook, 64, was swimming off the coast of South Australia in Beachport at the time of the attack.
Greg Rae, who gave emergency first aid to the victim, said he could hear her screaming for help after the horror attack.
"There was a couple of ladies running in and they were covered in a bit of blood and they mentioned a shark attack," he said.
"We immediately just jumped in, went and grabbed our trauma gear and first aid equipment and then responded."
Greg used to stop the bleeding from Pam's severe injuries.
She was rushed to hospital in serious condition after the shark mauled her foot and thigh.
Horrified witnesses said they saw the woman suffer two brutal bites from the beast.

Greg told ABC news: "The shark attacked her foot first and then … had another go, and that's where the big laceration was."
"A couple of ladies were trying to apply pressure to the main wound — she had a couple of wounds that we needed to treat.
"She was just lucky that it didn't hit a main artery."
Two women who were on the beach at the time, Silvana and Mishelle Jewell, saw Pam screaming and waving for help from the water.
The pair described the scene as "horrifying".
Pam was taken to local Mount Gambier hospital after the attack but is now in a stable condition.
Silvana said: "At first we thought she was just waving to her friends and then we realised no, she was getting frantic, that something had happened."
"We went running down the jetty and I said to Mishelle, 'Call an ambulance'.
"We've never heard of a shark down here.
"It was horrifying, just horrifying."
Pam was visiting the beach for her regular morning dip with a local swimming group.
They meet everyday at 7.30am before taking a swim off the Beachport Jetty.
The beach was closed after the terrifying attack just before 8am on Monday.
SES South Australia are reportedly launching drones to locate the shark, that they believe to be a young great white.

"Our crews have been requested to assist South Australian police with a drone search," an SES spokesman told .
"We've got two crews currently there at the moment and we are just waiting for our flight plans to be approved so our pilots can put our drones up."
