Shocking moment thug runs across the road and floors 14-year-old boy with punch to the head
The boy, who was standing at a bus stop, collapsed to the floor and shocked passersby rushed to his aid
THIS is the appaling moment a vicious thug broke a schoolboy's jaw by punching the young lad in broad daylight.
Violent Connor Duckett sprinted across the road and floored his 14-year-old victim by smashing him in the face with his fist.
The boy, who was standing at a bus stop, collapsed to the floor and shocked passersby rushed to his aid.
The victim, who was wearing a cast on his arm, picked himself up before staggering around and crashing into the door of a nearby restaurant.
Apparently regretting his despicable actions 18-year-old Duckett then returned to his victim, who fell into his arms.
Police say the assailant then offered his wounded victim a lift home.
Cops used CCTV to track the attacker and arrested him moments after the attack in Tolworth, Surrey.
At Kingston Crown Court Duckett, from Chessington, Surrey, was found guilty of GBH with intent and caged for two-and-a-half years.
DC Foley from Kingston CID said: "I wish to praise the victim as he has shown maturity and courage throughout the investigation and court proceedings.
"He was viciously attacked in an unprovoked incident which left him with lifelong discomfort in his face, he may also require further surgery in the future.
"We are sending out a clear message that deciding to behave in such a violent thoughtless manner has one outcome and that outcome will be a custodial one.
"Any violence in Kingston will not be tolerated and we will work tirelessly to bring offenders to justice, just like Connor."
