BLACK Eye Friday has hit the streets with thousands of boozing Brits filling bars and clubs across the country to celebrate Christmas.
The annual booze-up is the most popular night of the year for office Christmas parties - and gets it nickname because it is also one of the busiest nights of the year for ambulances and the police .

Some revellers nights' ended with a little more than a cab home Credit: SWNS:South West News Service It's usually just on the last Friday before Christmas, but this year we are being treated to a double whammy of drunken mayhem with the next round up on Friday 23.
Drunken revellers have already been spotted behaving badly across the UK as cops have stepped up patrols to try and limit the carnage.
London Ambulance have been documenting the chaos on Twitter, revealing they had taken nearly 6,000 emergency calls by midnight.
They're urging Brits to drink responsibly, warning of several drunk and unconscious people on the streets - and even someone so intoxicated they ran into a lamp post.
Dr Fenella Wrigley, Medical Director at LAS, said: “Every ambulance crew responding to someone who has simply had too much to drink, is an ambulance crew not responding to an ill or injured person who needs them.
“We want Londoners to have a great time during this party season but, we also need them to look after themselves and their friends.
"Too often over the festive season, our crews can spend much of their night caring for people who are vomiting, violent or unconscious after a night out drinking, leaving them unable to respond to other emergencies.”
