Diana Ramos’ coworker speaks out after American Airlines flight attendant found dead with sock in her mouth at hotel
A FLIGHT attendant has been identified by cops after she was found dead inside a hotel room with a sock in her mouth.
A cleaning crew made the horrific discovery inside a room at the Marriott near the Philadelphia International Airport on Monday at around 10.45pm, according to police.
There were no signs of forced entry or evidence of a struggle, Philadelphia Police Chief Inspector Scott Small said.
No weapons were recovered from the hotel room either.
Small said that Ramos was "on several medications" at the time of her death.
Sealed bottles of prescription drugs were reportedly found in the room.
Ramos worked for American Airlines for 25 years and was reportedly staying at the hotel on a layover after working on a flight from Los Angeles.
"Everybody is still trying to figure out what happened and why her crew just left her," another flight attendant who works for the airline told .
"A lot of moving parts and questions right now," the unnamed coworker added. "Very sad."
Before Ramos' identity was made public, American Airlines issued a statement.
"We are devastated by this news," the company wrote.
"Our thoughts are with the family and colleagues, and we're doing everything we can to ensure all affected have the support they need during this difficult time.
"We will continue to cooperate fully with local law enforcement in their investigation."
