Lucy Letby retrial decision to be made today as killer nurse still faces six counts of attempted murder of babies
KILLER nurse Lucy Letby will discover today whether she faces a retrial on a string of attempted murder charges.
Letby, 33, was handed a whole life tariff for murdering seven babies during a year-long rampage at Countess of Chester Hospital.
The nurse was also convicted last month of trying to murder six other children following a lengthy trial.
But jurors were unable to reach verdicts on six counts of attempted murder relating to five children.
Letby, who was cleared of two other counts of the same charge, is due to appear at Manchester Crown Court today.
Prosecutors will reveal today whether they are seeking a retrial on the outstanding counts.
