CCTV of man released by cops after woman ‘sexually assaulted’ in Hull city centre
COPS have released CCTV images of a man after a woman was allegedly sexually assaulted in a city centre.
The woman was walking on Carr Lane in Hull, when she was reportedly approached by a man near the junction of South Street.
He is then alleged to have sexually assaulted her.
The woman then fled to another nearby street where she asked a member of the public for help.
Cops investigating the reported assault on in the early hours of Tuesday morning believe the man pictured can help them with their inquiries.
He is seen wearing a black jacket, grey trousers and black trainers, while also sporting a pair of glasses.
Inspector Mark Skelton said: “As a part of the investigation, we have now established that a woman was walking along Carr Lane when she was approached by a man near to the junction of South Street.
“The man is believed to have spoken to the woman and allegedly sexually assaulted her before the woman fled Carr Lane and sought to safety with assistance from a member of the public on Paragon Street.
“Since the report was made to us, over the course of the last three days various investigations have been undertaken by detectives. This includes reviewing CCTV footage of the area as well as speaking with local businesses to try and identify any potential witnesses.
“Following extensive lines of enquiry, we are now in a position to release CCTV images of a man we believe could assist with our ongoing enquiries.
