Terrified woman screams at migrants as new footage of Cologne New Year’s Eve sex attacks shows cops completely outnumbered

Harrowing cries of women can be heard in the video recorded by specially-trained police officials

DRAMATIC footage from the New Year's Eve sex attacks in Cologne capture just how helpless police were when trying to control the crowd.

More than 1,200 sexual assaults were reported across the German by gangs of men, reported to be mainly immigrants.

Harrowing cries of women can be heard in the video, which was recorded by specially-trained police officials.

One female can he heard shouting '"No, you cannot touch me".

Fireworks can be heard being fired into crowds of people as officers try to control the crowd of 2,000 people.

It is clear from the footage that revellers paid little attention to the police.

Police also express their anger with one officer saying "I am standing here all by myself".

Last week it was reported how German Police has introduced a social media squad to monitor activity in the run-up to New Year.

A Cologne police spokesperson said: "Interpreters, language and cultural mediators are now observing the social networks. They will also support the work of the 1,500 policemen during New Year’s Eve."

This came after an investigation revealed that a migrant mob had organised themselves using social media when they converged on the city.

Up to 1,000 men may have been involved in the assaults on women in Cologne.

Police Commissioner Sonja E., 26, gave evidence at a fact-finding investigative committee of the state parliament in Dusseldorf last month,

She told the committee that she spoke with four women the reason why four women she spoke with were not sexually assaulted was because they "were all wearing tights".

“They broke down completely and just wept,” she added. “They were completely overwhelmed.”
