'TASERING' RAP
Cop to face gross misconduct hearing for ‘tasering 10-year-old girl’
A COP accused of tasering a ten-year-old girl is to face a gross misconduct hearing.
PC Jonathan Broadhead allegedly fired twice after the girl was reportedly threatening a woman with shears and a hammer.
He is said to have used force “which was not necessary, reasonable and proportionate in all the circumstances”, according to the Met Police.
It follows an investigation into the incident in South West London in January 2021.
The Independent Office for Police Conduct concluded the officer had a case to answer for gross misconduct.
If proven, the Met said he will have breached its standard of behaviour relating to use of force.
