Man arrested after woman ‘raped’ as she left train station

A MAN has been arrested after a woman was allegedly raped as she left a train station.

The woman was reportedly attacked after leaving the station in Tunbridge Wells, Kent, at 12.30am on Wednesday 20 September.

A 32-year-old man has now been arrested on suspicion of rape.

Kent Police said: "An investigation is being led by the Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorate and on Wednesday 20 September, a 32-year-old man from Belvedere, Greater London was arrested on suspicion of rape and taken into custody.

"The suspect was later granted conditional bail, pending further enquiries, and will be required to return to a police station on 19 December."
