US Ambassador launches stinging attack on Russia amid reports of civilians in Aleppo being rounded up and SHOT
A TOP US diplomat fired a stinging attack at her Russian counterpart over the bombing of Aleppo, asking "have you no shame?"
Samantha Power, the US Ambassador to the United Nations, accused Russia and Iran of carrying out "barbaric" war crimes in Syria.
It came as rebel-held eastern Aleppo fell to pro-government forces amid reports of civilians being brutally executed.
UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon told the emergency Security Council meeting he had received "credible reports" of innocent people being murdered by soldiers loyal to Syrian dictator Bashar al-Assad.

Ms Power, who has been an ambassador to the UN since 2013, said: "To the Assad regime, Russia and Iran, your forces and proxies are carrying out these crimes, your barrel bombs and mortars and air strikes have allowed the militia in Aleppo to encircle tens of thousands of civilians in your ever-tightening noose.
"It is your noose. Three member states of the UN contributing to a noose around civilians. It should shame you.
"Instead, by all appearances it is emboldening you. You are plotting your next assault."
She added: "Are you truly incapable of shame? Is there literally nothing that can shame you?
"Is there no act of barbarism against civilians, no execution of a child that gets under your skin? That just creeps you out a little bit?
"It there nothing you will not lie about, or justify?"
Her passionate comments come as a ceasefire in Syria's second city to help evacuate civilians broke down on Wednesday.
Shelling resumed in the former rebel stronghold as tens of thousands of noncombatants rushed to escape the onslaught.
Russian military might was wrought on the city this week to recapture it from rebel fighters who took over at the beginning of Syria's civil war in 2011.
Rupert Colville, head of the UN's human rights office, said sources on the ground confirmed 82 civilians were shot in four neighbourhoods overnight on Monday.
Syria has said it is liberating the city from terrorists.
