The youngster is pampered by doting parents Adam Rattab and Annabel Murchie, who slave away blow drying her mane each morning.

The couple get stopped in the street every time they go out - and strangers can't believe how young Maya is when they see how much hair she has.

Dad Adam even admits he's had to learn how to style her hair to give mum Annabel a break.

Adam, 26, said: "Her hair is constantly growing, it just hasn't stopped.

"Everyone - even Annabel - said her hair will start falling out around the back as she gets older, but it hasn't.

"Now she's basically got a little bob, it goes to her shoulders."

Adam, an aerospace manufacturer, added: "She wears it in a top knot a lot, but it can get quite messy.

"She's teething and always dribbling, so her hair gets wet and gets in her way, which is why we like to keep it out of her face or put a clip in it.

"It just gets messy, so we have to wash it in the bath pretty much every day.

"It takes a while, and we have to use a hair dryer because a towel just doesn't work properly.

"If we left it to dry naturally she would be there forever, just cold and wet."

Thankfully, Maya loves her daily hair routine and will sit "patiently" while it's brushed.

Adam said: "She loves staring at the hair dryer and tries to put her face in front of it.

"She sits there patiently while her hair is brushed.

"We like to put it up in a knot but she sometimes has plaits around the sides which lead into a ponytail.

"Even I've had to learn how to do her hair!"

Both Adam, 26, and fiance Annabel, 28, have a lot of hair, which is where Maya's lucky genes come from.

Adam said: "She has the thickness of my hair but the straightness of Annabel's.

"It's a really nice colour and it looks amazing when she's just got out of the bath and it's been blow-dried."

Adam and make-up artist Annabel are constantly being stopped in the street.

Her friend of the same age are still bald or have little hair.

Adam added: "A couple of my friends even have three year olds who are still bald.

"People in the street come up to her and call her little dolly, they can't believe how much hair she's got.

"They always ask how old she is and when I say she's only eight months, they're so shocked because they think she's more like three!

"Her hair is just everywhere."

A nine-week-old baby’s huge hair was reported in October to stop shoppers in the tracks.

Junior Cox-Noon’s bulging barnet turned heads and his mum said it took her two-hours to do the weekly shop because people stop to say hello.

Earlier this year 12 babies with astonishing hair were pictured as their proud parents showed off their youngsters manes.
