Johnny Depp and Amber Heard’s £5m divorce could be derailed after ‘he REFUSES to pay because she accused him of domestic violence’
Depp, 53, is reportedly stalling after Heard, 30, penned a letter about domestic violence
JOHNNY Depp and Amber Heard's £5.3million divorce settlement could fall apart over a fresh legal battle, it has been reported.
Depp, 53, is reportedly stalling payment after Heard, 30, spoke out about domestic violence - which the Pirates Of The Caribbean actor claims violates the terms of their split.
The actress divorced the Hollywood star earlier this year after their 15-month marriage ended, accusing him of abusing her throughout their four-year relationship.
Heard, who married Johnny in 2015, filed for divorce and requested a restraining order against Depp in May because he had allegedly hit her and thrown at phone at her during a fierce argument.
Heard wrote a letter about domestic violence for the December issue of the fashion magazine Porter.

Court documents obtained by , were filed with Los Angeles Superior Court by Heard's lawyers, who have asked the judge to force Depp to abide by the settlement.
The website reports Depp is furious that Heard has seemingly broken the terms of the settlement by speaking out against domestic violence.
Their divorce settlement does include a confidentiality clause prohibiting her from talking about Depp.
But in the letter, Heard wrote: "Let’s start with the truth — the cold, hard truth. When a woman comes forward to speak out about injustice or her suffering, instead of aid, respect and support, she will be met with hostility, skepticism and shame.
"Her motives will be questioned and her truth ignored."
In August Heard slammed Depp for giving her $7million divorce settlement money directly to charity – as it means he will get a charitable deduction.
Her reps believe that he should in fact donate double that in order to make it equal.
The 30-year-old beauty announced earlier this month the $7 million she would be receiving from her estranged spouse – who she split from in May amid accusations he was abusive – would be given to the Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles and the American Civil Liberties Union.
Pirates of the Caribbean’ star Johnny’s reps confirmed on Thursday he had sent “the first of multiple installments” to both organisations.
However, Amber’s team have hit out at the donation, telling TMZ: “If Johnny wishes to change the settlement agreement, we must insist that he honour the full amount by donating $14M to charity, which after accounting for his tax deduction, is equal to his $7M payment obligation to Amber.
“We would also insist that the full amount be paid immediately and not drawn out over many years.
“Anything less would be a transparent attempt by Johnny’s counsel, Laura Wasser and Patti Glaser, to reduce their client’s true payment by half under the guise of newfound concern for charities that he has never previously supported.”
The 53-year-old actor said he “deeply respects” Amber for giving the money away.
Depp is Hollywood's most overpaid actor for the second year in a row, Forbes magazine has said.
The Pirates Of The Caribbean star, 53, topped the list following his box office flop Alice Through The Looking Glass.
The Disney sequel hit cinemas at the same time Depp's high-profile divorce from Amber Heard was announced amid allegations of domestic abuse.
He brought in just $2.8 at the box office for every dollar he was paid for his last three films before June, Forbes said.
