Theresa May thanks Sun readers for their incredible support for our brave military heroes

THERESA May last night thanked The Sun and our readers for their support towards the military.

The Prime Minister said: “The Sun and Sun readers have always been great supporters of the military and I sincerely thank them for that. Our Armed Forces are the best in the world and the Sun Military Awards are a fantastic way of showing our gratitude for their sacrifice and service.

“Looking at the awards and nominees this evening I am as ever struck by the scope of what our Armed Forces do to keep us safe, whether abroad or here at home.

“More than 3500 armed forces personnel are on operations around the world today, from Afghanistan to eastern Europe, the Middle East to Africa. They epitomise our bold, outward-looking Britain.”
