Woman left terrified as cops threaten boyfriend with taser and guns…but it’s actually an epic marriage proposal
Shawna Blackmon thought boyfriend of six years Daiwon Mcpherson was about to get shot by police before he got down on one knee
A WOMAN got the shock of her life with this marriage proposal when her husband-to-be organised to be held up by cops as he went down on on knee.
Shawna Blackmon was terrified out of her life when she heard her boyfriend of six years Daiwon Mcpherson had been pulled over by police on his motorcycle on his way to their date.
She arrived at the gas station in Mobile, Alabama, on Friday to see her partner down on the floor with armed officers surrounding him.
She told : "I was scared. I said, 'He's going to jail. They're gonna shoot him.'"
Mcpherson gave no indication of the surprise he was going to pull, and she had no idea the cops were in on the high octane proposal.
He recalled: "When she ran up, the officer said, uh, 'Get down, get down! Who are you? Who are you?'
"She said, 'I'm his girl, I'm his wife, I'm his wife.'"
In the clip Blackmon can be seen one the verge of tears as she tries to reason with officers.
She said: "I thought that it was really over with. Like, I thought I lost my family. I thought it was really over."
Her biggest fear was her boyfriend was carrying a gun, and with the cops surrounding him, she believed the confrontation could end up with him being shot.
Blackmon said: "I was scared. I said, 'He's going to jail. They're gonna shoot him."
She recalled she started to run through a series of scenarios in her mind, and all of them ended with Mcpherson dead or in prison, the pair of them parted for good.
Blackmon said she was also trying to think of ways she could stop a disaster from happening: "Me getting out and seeing that I felt like I can fix this, let me try to fix this, let me try to calm the situation down and make it work."
