Tributes to pub landlord Matthew Bryant after he’s stabbed to death as woman arrested on suspicion of murder
TRIBUTES have been paid to a pub landlord after he was stabbed to death.
Matthew Bryant was discovered with life-threatening injuries outside the Hare and Hounds, in Maidstone, Kent, following the horrific knifing.
Cops rushed to the establishment, which Matthew managed, on Lower Boxley Road around 6pm on Monday.
Paramedics administered medical treatment but Matthew was sadly pronounced dead shortly after.
A woman, in her 50s, was arrested at the scene on suspicion of murder following the attack.
Cops say she was known to Matthew.

It's understood Matthew took over the pub in 2015 and had been in the industry for 25 years.
Tributes have since poured in for the "best landlord" and "absolute gent".
Becky Whitehead said: “R.I.P Matt. Love and thoughts to the family and friends. I’m so sorry for your loss.”
Daniel Hoggart wrote: “Absolute gent you always will be Matt.

A cordon remains in place this morning as cops launch an investigation into the incident.
