Donald Trump embraces troubled ‘friend’ Kanye West who hands over books of nudes and discusses bullying and violence at 15 minute meeting in Trump Tower
KANYE West had a meeting with his "friend" President-elect Donald Trump on Tuesday, to discuss "bullying" and "violence in Chicago".
The pair had their 15 minute chit chat at Trump Tower in New York, and the rapper entered the building complete with entourage.
Trump was handed a book of nudes by West, who is recovering from a psychological meltdown.
However, according to , the next leader of the free world did not ask for him to perform at his inauguration in January.
West had to be cleared by the Secret Service to meet Trump - their meeting had caused some concern as the rapper had been under psychiatric hold in a California hospital until last week.
After his meeting he took to Twitter to reveal he had wanted to speak about "multicultural issues" which included "bullying, supporting teachers, modernizing curriculums, and violence in Chicago."
He tweeted: "I feel it is important to have a direct line of communication with our future President if we truly want change."
Trump said they chatted about "life" and the pair then posed, with the billionaire giving the thumbs up sign.
He then accompanied the rapper down to the lobby too say farewell - only one other visitor has been given that courtesy.
After the short meeting in Trump’s office, the pair spoke to reporters in the lobby of the billionaire’s flagship building.
Trump said: “We've been friends for a long time. Life, we were discussing.”
While side-stepping questions about his own proposed White House run in 2020, West said: “I just want you to take my picture.”
