TRUMP TROLL

Critics Choice Awards host TJ Miller brands Trump a ‘troll’ and fails to mention his arrest for ‘slapping an Uber driver in row over The Donald’

The Silicon Valley actor, who was hosting the awards, also said 'the election was definitely hacked by the Russians'.

ACTOR TJ Miller branded Donald Trump a ‘troll’ while hosting an awards show and failed to mention his arrest last week following a heated debate about the President-elect.

The Silicon Valley star had earlier posted tweets suggesting he would address the “elephant in the room” during the Critics' Choice Awards in Santa Monica.

But the comedian instead teased the audience by saying “It’s been in the news all weekend, and it’s really affected me” adding “the election was definitely hacked by the Russians.”

The 35-year-old actor again sidestepped his arrest on Friday and went straight after Trump.

He said: “Trolls did well this year. Not the movie, the ones on the internet. One got elected president.”

Miller’s run in with the law happened after the GQ Men of the Year party in L.A.

After ordering an Uber home the star got into an argument with the taxi driver over Trump’s shock election win, according to TMZ.

The shaggy-haired comedic actor then allegedly slapped the driver on the head resulting in him being detained by cops.

He was reportedly given a citation to appear in court at a later date.

Miller’s arrest dominated the build-up the event which he was hosting.

The actor tweeted before the show on Sunday: “Tonight I will address the elephant in the room at @CriticsChoice on A&E. Tune in and find out.”

As well as going after Trump directly, the comedian also referenced the alleged Russian hack on Hillary Clinton's campaign.

Last week, the CIA said that Vladimir Putin's Russia interfered with the election and actively helped Trump win the White House.

The Central Intelligence Agency claim that emails hacked from the Democratic Party and given to the controversial website WikiLeaks aided the Republican candidate’s win in November’s race.

reports that the shocking assessment was made by a “consensus” of US intelligence groups but Donald Trump’s office has slammed the findings.

In a brief statement, they said: “These are the same people that said Saddam Hussein had weapons of mass destruction.

“The election ended a long time ago in one of the biggest electoral college victories in history. It’s now time to move on and ‘make America great again.’”
