Prince Andrew blasts claims he rowed over royal roles of Beatrice and Eugenie as Fergie fumes ‘stop bullying the Yorks’
Royal dismisses claims as 'complete fabrication to suggest I have asked for any future husbands of the Princesses to have titles'
PRINCE Andrew and ex-wife Fergie yesterday joined forces to strike back at criticism of their daughters.
Andrew, 56, rubbished claims that he had rowed with Prince Charles over the royal roles of Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie.
And Fergie, Duchess of York, fumed: “Stop bullying the York family.”
Andrew’s highly unusual statement, on Buckingham Palace stationery, came weeks after Prince Harry similarly complained at media attention on his girlfriend Meghan Markle.
Andrew said: “It is a complete fabrication to suggest I have asked for any future husbands of the Princesses to have titles.

“There is no truth to the story that there could be a split between the Prince of Wales and I over my daughters’ participation as Members of the Royal Family. My wish is for them to be modern, working women who happen to be members of the Royal Family.”
Fergie, 57, spoke as Beatrice, 28, and Eugenie, 26, became patrons of the Teenage Cancer Trust.
She said: “Both the Duke and myself, we could not be more proud. These are two girls that work so hard in their own careers, have taken time off today to spread the word of teen cancer and then go back to work.
“Let’s focus more on this and less on tittle-tattle gossip. Stop bullying the York family, please.”
Andrew has wanted his daughters to be full-time royals. Beatrice currently does not work and Eugenie works for an art gallery. Both have been criticised for taking too many holidays.
